Our Vision

The development of a society free of child abuse in which every person takes responsibility for promoting the protection rights of all children.

Our Mission

A hundred years from now it won’t matter what kind of house I lived in, or how much money I had,What will matter is that the world might be a better place because I was important in the life of a child.

Crisisline: 116

The 24/7 toll free Crisis Helpline provides an accessible and immediate service to all children in and around KwaZulu – Natal whenever and wherever they may require help.

Victim Empowerment

Childline KZN has developed age appropriate therapeutic programmes which are utilized to facilitate disclosure and the healing process for children of abuse.

About Our Crisisline

The Crisisline was founded in 1986 as a result of the escalating increase in the incidence of child abuse cases. Hence it became essential for the public to have access to a helpline to advice, support and report cases of abuse. The organisation has since 1986, expanded its mandate to ensure holistic services to children, to not only respond, but heal, and prevent child abuse.

Childline can assist children who have been abused to recover from their trauma.

Children who have been abused may struggle to regain control. Do what you can to help them feel better, trust them, listen to them, allow them to make decisions and choices according to their age and maturity.

How can you help?

Childline KZN has developed age appropriate therapeutic programmes which are utilized to facilitate disclosure and the healing process for children of abuse.
